About Us
We Shed the Light, You Navigate
At Lighthouse Therapy, we are a small, dedicated team of experienced and associate counsellors, working together to make mental health support more accessible, inclusive, and human.
Our work is rooted in a shared belief that everyone deserves a safe space to be heard, understood, and supported, regardless of where they are in life or their financial circumstances. Alongside highly experienced practitioners, our associate counsellors offer low-cost sessions, making therapy more available without compromising on care, ethics, or professional support.
We value a relational, person-centred approach and are particularly committed to neuroaffirmative, trauma-informed practice. Like a lighthouse, we don’t steer the journey for you, but we stand alongside you, offering light, direction, and a steady presence as you find your way.

Meet The Team

Paulina Rybak
Psychotherapist, Practice Manager
Paulina Rybak is an Integrative Psychotherapist and Specialist SEND Teacher with over two decades of experience working at the intersection of mental health, education, and neurodevelopment. She specialises in supporting children and young people, creating spaces where emotional wellbeing, identity, and understanding can gently unfold.
Her work combines relational depth with clinical insight. Alongside psychotherapy, Paulina is trained in psychometric assessment, with particular expertise in ADHD, which brings a unique ability to translate complex understanding into meaningful, practical support for families and schools.
As a Clinical Consultant working with children in care, she supports professionals and caregivers to respond to complexity with clarity, compassion, and structure.
Her approach is grounded in a simple belief: when we feel understood, change becomes possible.

Rowena Moreno
Associate Counsellor
I am currently completing a Master’s degree in Integrative Counselling at Leeds Beckett University. As a neurodivergent trainee counsellor, I bring both personal insight and professional understanding to my work, with a developing specialism in pre- and post-diagnostic support.
My approach is person-centred and neuroaffirmative. I offer a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where clients feel understood and accepted, and where they can explore their experiences at their own pace.
I am particularly interested in supporting clients in developing self-understanding, emotional awareness, and confidence in their identity, especially in relation to neurodivergence.

Eleanor Smith
Associate Counsellor
I am a trainee integrative counsellor currently completing a Master’s degree in Integrative Counselling, following a First Class degree in Mental Health and Counselling. I work with individuals aged 16 and over.
My approach is primarily person-centred, enriched by psychodynamic understanding and informed by behavioural ideas. I place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of my work, offering a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace.
I have a growing interest in trauma-informed practice, particularly how trauma impacts both the brain and body, as well as in emotional intelligence and the role of emotional awareness in wellbeing and relationships. I am also interested in the impact of neurodivergence on emotional experience.
As a trainee counsellor, I welcome a wide range of presenting issues and am committed to reflective, ethical practice and ongoing professional development.

Yusra Kilany
Associate Counsellor
I am a counselling student currently on placement, offering a warm and empathetic space for clients to explore what they wish to bring at their own pace. I work relationally using an integrative approach, primarily grounded in a person-centered core.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that healing happens within a safe and trusting relationship. I aim to provide that space by offering an environment that feels accepting, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I value authenticity, empathy, and curiosity, and view therapy as something we do together rather than something done to you.
My integrative training allows me to draw on a range of therapeutic ideas, where I look forward to integrate concepts from Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, life stages, and experiences, and invite you to begin therapy just as you are. “

Kate Taylor

I am trained to work with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, bereavement and trauma, and I aim to tailor my approach to meet each individual’s unique needs. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Skills, and I am currently working towards my Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
